Where did you work before St. Stephen the Martyr?
I have worked at various marketing firms as well as Spirit Catholic Radio. I have also done a fair amount of freelance copywriting. But my favorite job has been staying at home to raise my six children!
Where did you grow up? Where did you go to school?
I grew up in Papillion and went to St. Columbkille for grade school and then Duchesne. I have a degree from Benedictine College in Communications and Theology.
Tell us about your family (spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc.):
I am married to Patrick and we have 6 beautiful children who attend St. Stephen the Martyr School.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
I love spending time with friends, hiking, kayaking and having coffee dates with my husband.
What do you like to do for fun? What do you like to do to unwind/relax?
I spend my free time reading, praying, organizing, working out and taking vacations with my family.
What’s your least favorite chore around the house?
There are too many to count 🙂
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An “animal doctor”…now we don’t even have a pet!
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I was a founding member of the knitting club in high school.
What is your favorite food?
All baked goods.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Creme Brulee
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
The best compliment I’ve received is that I was an effective mother.
What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
Watermelon, coffee and The Hallow App.
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
Wake up early, good prayer time with good coffee, a cool morning run, a big breakfast of waffles and smoothies then to the pool with my kiddos. Finished by an evening on the patio with my husband watching kids play whiffle ball in the backyard.
What do you enjoy most about working at St. Stephen the Martyr?
The wonderful people who are a part of this community!
Which word in our mission statement has the most impact on you? Why?
Proclaim – I am so inspired by the apostles who were so gripped by the Gospel that they spent their lives spreading that joy to others. Following Jesus really does make you happier! Not more comfortable, but definitely happier.
What advice do you have for others to grow their Catholic faith and relationship with Jesus Christ?
Find someone who encourages growth in you, and receive the sacraments frequently!
