Before coming to St. Stephen the Martyr Parish, I spent eight years in the seminary. The first four were at St. John Vianney College Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and the last four years were at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy. I am happy to be here!

I grew up in Omaha and attended St. Gerald Catholic School before going to Skutt Catholic High School. Go Skyhawks!

I am the middle of five children, and we are each just about one year apart. I love being an uncle!

On the weekends, I enjoy bringing a couple of books to local coffee shops and sitting for a few hours. If you ever see me reading intensely at a coffee shop, please interrupt me and say hello!

I enjoy working out and going on runs, especially in the summertime.

Playing the piano and singing are two of my favorite things to do.

I really appreciated a deacon once telling me that the Light of Christ was with me. Of course, that’s all from God.

A perfect day would be praying Morning Prayers while sipping coffee as the sun rises. Then I’d watch Husker football before celebrating an evening Mass at St. Stephen the Martyr with all of the wonderful people here.

The People of God at St. Stephen the Martyr have an awesome desire to know Jesus. This place facilitates encounters with Christ both at the sacred liturgy and through conversations with our fellow parishioners.

“Encounter” is the word that stands out to me. Encountering Jesus is life-giving. Sharing that encounter with others is a special thing we do as missionaries in our Church.

Spend time with Christ in prayer. At the end of the day, it is good to consider where you felt inspired in some way that day. Then listen to the voice of Jesus and what He might want to inspire in you. Stay with Him!
