Coordinator of Middle School Youth Ministry — Now Hiring
Part-Time (Appx. 25 hrs/week)
The Coordinator of Middle School Youth Ministry will oversee and coordinate continued faith formation opportunities primarily for youth in 6th-8th grade outside of a classroom setting, as well as opportunities for community building and service. This role will also assist in additional activities, including supporting High School Youth Ministry. As a representative of the parish, this position will need to put the mission of the parish first in all actions and communications with others. He/she will create a positive, Christ-centered environment with an energetic personality for students, staff members, parishioners and priests.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging middle school youth ministry gatherings aligned with the parish’s “Clear Path” mission.
- Recruit, train, and support a volunteer Core Team to plan and lead youth ministry.
- Ensure all adult volunteers complete Safe Environment Training.
- Maintain communication with staff, parents, youth, and parishioners.
- Promote youth ministry through parish communications and social media.
- Serve as liaison to the High School Youth Ministry team and assist with programs and events.
- Coordinate service opportunities and encourage participation in parish life and liturgy.
- Manage ministry paperwork, including permissions, volunteer forms, and promotional materials.
- Schedule school and Religious Education visits to promote youth ministry.
- Be available to support, pray with, and listen to youth and families as needed.
- Collaborate with the Archdiocese and local youth ministers to network and share best practices.
- Research and implement innovative ministry ideas that support the parish mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
