We will work together this Advent as a parish family to assist in supporting the work of two organizations that serve adults in need: Madonna Ability Alliance & Holy Family Lunch Program. 

Items for Madonna Ability Alliance will be used in several of their programs. They provide inclusive special education in partnership with St. Pius/Leo, St. Robert Bellarmine & Holy Name Schools. Madonna also has a secondary program that includes academics, sports and traditional high school activities. In addition, the Transition program assists individuals 18-21 to learn independent living skills and the Adult program provides practical work experience.

The Lunch Program at Holy Family serves sack lunches to homeless individuals Monday – Friday. Food and lunch bag items will be used by volunteers to prepare nearly 300 lunches each day. Lunches are provided at the door at Holy Family and delivered to several locations including Jackson Tower and Saint Peter’s. Lunches contain a sandwich, a sweet item & a salty item. “The Sweet’s Angels” of St. Stephen’s (named by Holy Family lunch volunteers) provide approximately 60% of the baked goods on a regular basis. 

This is an opportunity to live out The Corporal Works of Mercy  to Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked and shelter the homeless.
