Clothing our Neighbors Lenten Service Project

Our 2025 project will provide underwear & socks to two organizations – Least of My Brethren and Women’s Center for Advancement. You can choose to participate one or more of three ways:

  • Take one or more ornaments from one of the trees and return new items under the trees.
  • You can donate $10 or $25 gift cards (Walmart or Target) and cash or checks by placing them in a box on the small tables in the gathering space. Checks should be made out to St. Stephen the Martyr Church.
  • Donate monetarily using the button below and the Social Justice Committee will use the monies collected to purchase socks & underwear to be delivered to the below organization.

This will benefit two organizations:

  • Least of my Bretheren helps appx. 550 homeless people each month. They provide downtown breakfast 2x/month, assist people living outside, and help people move off the streets and into apartments. Visit website here.
  • Women’s Center for Advancement assisted over 1,100 individuals in 2024.  WCA addresses many issues facing survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.  Their survivor services focus on safety and self-sufficiency and are free-of-charge, The goal of their  prevention and education service if for the community at-large to know about WCA before needing services, not after.
