We are seeking volunteers to serve their parish community at St. Stephen the Martyr in the following roles:
Usher (Entrusted with promoting a sense of welcoming, belonging, comfort and safety to all the faithful assembling for Mass. Assist with seating, offertory collection, and bulletin distribution.)
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) (Distributes Holy Communion at Mass)
EMHC Homebound (Take Holy Communion to parishioners who are homebound, hospitalized, or in nearby senior care homes)
Lector (Proclaim the Word of God to the gathered assembly)
Greeter (Entrusted with promoting a sense of welcoming & belonging at St. Stephen the Martyr. Assist ushers with bulletin distribution as needed.)
Hospitality (Help serve donuts, coffee and clean-up afterward)
Altar Server (5th-12th grade students assist priests and deacons during Mass; click here to learn more)
New EMHCs, Lectors, & Servers are required to attend formal training. Ushers, Greeters, & Hospitality volunteers will be trained as well, but sessions will be brief and occur with a staff member after a Mass of your choice.
