The Funeral Mass of Pope Francis will be Saturday, April 26th at 3 AM CST (10 AM in Vatican City) at St. Peter’s Bascilica. Several news sources will be broadcasting the Mass on TV and online, including encore airings throughout the day. The funeral will mark the beginning of the Novemdiales, an ancient tradition of nine days of mourning and Masses for the repose of the late Pope’s soul.

It is the custom that the nine days following the funeral of a Pope are observed as official days of mourning in Rome and throughout the Church. These days are called the Novemdiales. This novena has been prepared to help pray for the Pope during the time of mourning.
